One of the world’s largest tattoo conventions came to London this weekend, as more than 200 artists and thousands of body art enthusiasts descended on the capital.
Business Insider UK was live from the event on Facebook.
The annual event – now in its twelfth year – attracts some of the tattoo world’s top talent and a host of other entertainers, including fire-breathers and burlesque dancers.
The convention lasts for three days and is a celebration of all sorts of tattoo art and its history.
As tattoos in the UK increase in popularity, so too does the convention. According toa YouGov survey last year, 20% of adults have gone under the tattoo gun.
People from all walks of life attend the three-day event. We spoke to Sabina Kelley, who with more than 200,000 followers on Instagram, is one of the most famous artists at this year's convention. She told us how she juggles her career as a jet-setting tattoo artist with three kids and another career as an international pin-up model.
Model and cosplayer Anna Quinn was also at the event in London. "This convention is the biggest tattoo convention in the world pretty much," she told us. "So it's a great place to come for brands to see you. It gets your name out there and you get to meet all these fantastic people."
